A bit anxious

Hi everyone on third week with sulfasalazine thought the pain in my ankle was slightly better but swelling just the same anyway got my first blood tests yesterday and got phone call from doctor as he said inflammation really high to go this afternoon for general checkup he asked me if I was feeling okay and I am just really anxious now

I think that it's good that you're going to see someone. Try to see it as a positive thing and not worry about it (I do realise how difficult that is.)I've had several phone consultations since this madness started but also a couple of f2f and they were much easier as the experts could see things for themselves rather than asking me to describe what my joints were doing.

My medication dosages have been increased several times and Sulfasalazine has been added to the Methotrexate and Hydroxychloroquine which I've been on for a while and every tweak has improved things. They haven't always waited for the usual period of time to be up and I'm sure that's helped things improve quicker.

Thanks Boxerlady it's just am feeling fine and hopefully he doesn't find anything else wrong with me

They may want to lower the inflammation more quickly with a short course if steroids. The sulphate can take up to 3 months to work so it would be better to get the inflammation down a bit quicker. If so steroids really help and help the pain too. Let us know what he says? Xxx

Hi all got on fine thanks heart lungs blood pressure all okay doctor says inflammation coming from my ankle as it's hot he's going to email rheumatologist to see if she wants do something with medication and to go for blood test on Monday so feeling a lot better x

Oh I'm so glad to hear that. Hopefully they'll have some answers for you very soon and you'll be able to get some relief with your poor ankle.Xxx

Yes Marionfromhappydays was happy after I saw doc my imagination runs away with me after I got the phone call from doc yesterday I had everything wrong with me I need to calm down 😔
