Seeing the council tomorrow about getting a disability badge but feeling a little apprehensive as some days I’m pain free, whereas bad flare up days I can hardly walk 50 yards!

I have had a blue badge since April, I could had applied in 2017, was given 10 points for mobility with PIP which meant I did not need to go for a means test. Must be said I wasn't happy about applying but knew it would help.

If fact when I handed in my form was asked why had I not applied much sooner. Badge was delivered to local library. I only use the badge if I really need to, not when having good days. Must admit it does make life that little easier.

Hope all goes well.

Best wishes

If you’re on biologics this could be decisive

Does that make a difference?

When I got mine earlier this year the nurse said it was a clincher. I was too mobile for it to be straightforward but when she heard who was my consultant and that I was on biologics that sealed it. Showed that it was serious.

You will get it, tell them about your worst days, also you have an incurable condition. Back it up with letters from your Rheumatologist, GP, anyone. Flare ups are common, they should know that

I believe it’s now 25 m. I have an automatic blue badge as I get the the high mobility rate and can’t walk anywhere without a rollater. Good luck.
