After effects for me of Friday......

Well as you all know hubby had a colonoscopy and 14 polyps removed. He came home a bit sore which was to be expected. Well Saturday came and i was still driving when we went and did a bit of shopping in town. When we came home i went up the village to a christams fair with my friend. I made the foolish decision to park in the centre of the village and walk rather than get my scooter out of the car. Saw our daughter before she went to the tattoo in Birmingham, then we walked to the church and back to the car. I came home and hubby had put all the decorations up on the ceiling for me and made a great start on dressing the tree.

Our son picked hubby up from the Hospital after dropping our dil off. She was a great comfort to have around. Had a lovely evening with them. I put deccies on the trees not all of them, but made a start. Hubby was glad it was all over and done with.

With all the driving i did didn't do me any favours. Friday evening i looked like something frome a horror show,my poor dil was so worried when she heard me cry our because i had a pain shoot through one of my fingers and she had never seen it so swollen before. Then Saturday afternoon we had to pick her up and as it was 24hrs after the precedure hubby went and fetched her. Our dil was so worried about me she rang up after she got home to see how i was. Well after lunch i could feel myself crash,i just went downhill into what i suppose you would call a flare. I was sore tearful tired exhausted everything all rolled into one. Hubby was on the phone talking to one of our dear friends when i diasappeared upstairs to lay on the bed and i sobbed my heart out and was still crying when hubby came up. After a great big hug off him i calmed down. Spent the evening upstairs watching the tv.

Yesterday hubby went to the tattoo with our daughter and he ended up in the show carrying the standard for the branch while our daughter carried the county standard. He was full of it when he came home and i was pleased for him. Our daughter said it wasn't the same on Saturday without her dad there. I had my friend over as usual for lunch and if anything was going to go wrong it did. The oven seemed to stop working and tripped the switch out,so i had to do that then put the top oven on as the bottom didn't seem to be working. That was all well and good, but silly Sylvi thought she had put it on the highest setting when in fact she had put it on the lowest setting and though the meat was just cooked the potatoes weren't. So out came the chip pan. Well next time hubby is away like that we are going out to lunch. Yes we had a good old laugh about it.

I think i could go on,but i think i will stop now. Happy Monday to you all and i hope you all have a good laugh at my post.xxxx

Oh Sylvi it sounds like a comedy sketch but I know it’s not funny at the time!!! I can understand the taking yourself off and lying on the bed as I worry that the boys are going to keep seeing me upset and in pain and my youngest does worry about me (he’s 8).

Next time save yourself the hassle and go out for lunch.. let someone else cook and clean up after and you can concentrate on having a good chat which will distract you a little from the pain.

Happy Monday to you.. I’m still in bed facing week 6 off work. Sarah xxx

I started Toci 7 weeks ago and ever since have flared up in my neck and shoulders so bad. I’m taking lots of morphine and can’t drive so I’m stuck in the house! I don’t blame you re lunch as a change of scenery is a tonic at times. Sarah xxx
