Spots?!?

Hey there, I’m on Benepali and for the past 6-8 weeks I’ve been getting spots not only in the face, but other upper-body places. Has anyone else have that happened?

I get a rash sometimes looks like a series of bumps.

I have had those too, but for some reason they have calmed down. I hope your rash stays away for a very long time.

Yes, it's awful! I was lucky when I was a teenager and never got any spots, but I'm getting loads now in my 40's! Definitely coincided with me starting Benepali. Only get spots on my face though.

Hmm... thanks for your reply. I also started getting them not long after I began taking Benepali. Will definitely have a word with my Rheumatologist when I see him in two weeks time. Thanks for your reply.

Hello! Interesting as I have too! I have never been a spotty person and i’m So bothered with it on my face , like acne areas, that I have been using Foundation. I also have it on my décolletage and slightly on top of back. Really red, rough acne spots! I am on week 17 Benepali but started getting spots around 6 weeks in. I was also 2 months into my 3 months TB antibiotics at the time so wasn’t sure what med caused it. I have also been on Hydroxychloroquine for around 2 years. Interested to find out what may be causing it. I was wondering if it was some deficiency but as not having any regular blood tests now, just don’t know!

I’m so sorry to hear you’re battling in a similar manner. ☹️ Like you, I have never had any problems with spots before apart from the odd one. I have taken all sorts of supplements for years, so personally I doubt mine are down to a deficiency.... rather, I strongly suspect the Benepali to be responsible. Interesting to hear that you also have them on top of your back. Really disheartening.... have no idea what actions to take. Do you?!?
