What medication are you on?

None yet, I'm too frightened to start taking them. Hydroxychloroquine.

Bearing in mind you said you first started getting a few a few years ago and clearly are not a side effect of medication I personally wouldn’t be overly worried but for your peace of mind do show your GP. I had a couple of small areas of red ( almost purple) spots ( not raised just like a colour change) around my waistline on one side but that was whilst taking Methotrexate. I kept a close eye on them but no additional spots came along. For some medication it can be on the side effects list but as you say you haven’t had any yet then it must be something else. Maybe chat to your GP too about your apprehension about starting Hydroxychloroquine..... generally a first line medication and thought to be one of the least likely to cause side effects. It’s about weighing up the benefits you will see from the medication against any possible chance of a small side effect..... I have been there so I Totally understand! Good luck.

I get those too and have always thought the Prednisolone caused them. They usually disappear after 2-3 days ... and then others appear elsewhere!

Mine are permanent. The top one appeared somewhere between supper and putting my hand cream on at bed time! I have some under my boobs and on the other hand. Started getting them a couple of years ago.

I have them. Don’t think they’re caused by meds since I have been getting them before any meds and my grandfather and aunt got them too. We are all pale, of Dutch heritage and if I haven’t had any ☀️ I look translucent except for my blue eyes (they change colors like a mood ring).

I'm half German but freckly and don't burn in the sun. I LOVE being in the sun! OMG for a bit of sun.

A bit difficult to see from this photo. They look like little haemangiomas - collections of blood vessels near the surface of the skin. They do seem to 'just appear' and are completely harmless.

Yes I think that's what they are too, although apparently they never appear on the hands - hence my curiosity. Also find it strange in combination with my spontaneous bruising. Had another on yesterday . They often itch before they appear. Weird.
