I got dropped off in Bedworth to do the shopping hubby needed while he had to go to Nuneaton. Then he and my daughter came and picked me up. Then we went to Nuneaton,Daughter needed to go to the bank which gave me a chance to go into poundland to get some glitter pen for my colouring. I then went round the market and not only was it cold it was crowded and nobody moved for me. It was so noisy and i am finding i can't stand loud noises there days and by 12pm i had had enough. i popped into Wilko and got two baskets for the front of the house and some smelly candles. Then hubby brought me home and i was so tired and exhausted.
Had a pre-op clinic yesterday and got all the bloods done and when the MRI next Tuesday then it will be all systems go for the operation on my back. I am tired and a lot of pain and it has been a horrible two days for pain and the tears i have cried is sad. I haven't slept for two nights and have been down here both nights. My fingers with the RA in have been giving me problems as well and the two toes i crushed have been blooming painful.xxxxx

Blimey sylvi is there any part of that frame of yours that hasnt become a battle zone ?The last 12 months seem to have been a constant struggle for you. I am sure the op on your back is not before time and lets hope it brings some good results for you.
I feel a little bit like you too about noise and crowds. If and when I do get to a shop I am on my mobility scooter as I cant walk.I am at a lower level sat on that than those around me,and when its crowded it can feel quite intimidating.Noise seems to intensify that feeling and I often cant wait to get from there.
I am having a lot of pain and swelling in my hands last couple of days and its painful so I can understand why you must be in so much more pain.
So full steam ahead for the op,and just remember to make sure you take enough time to recover fully before you go jumping round in that garden pulling up weeds and painting fences .
Fingers crossed all goes well.
Feet up and try and get some rest .Tiredness doesnt help your pain thresholds one bit.
Oh Sylvie, I'm so sorry you're feeling so awful. I never did like crowds so, unless it's unavoidable, I don't do it. Let's hope your back operation goes well and gives you some relief in that area at least. I love your gorgeous photo today. Pin sharp too. Hugs

Sylvi, crowds and shopping do my head in as well !! I only go to Shopping centre now, all on one level and easy to get my powerchair round, I gave up the market ages ago ! I have Tesco delivery once a week, - perfection, the driver brings it in and puts in kitchen for me, then I pop to village butcher who also sells local veg etc., that's as much as I can manage nowadays. We meet grandson Luke on a Friday after school in Telford Shopping centre and go and have tea at Valerie's Patisserie, that's about all I can manage these days I'm sad to say. Like you I can't stand noise, I have 2 hearing aids as I have quite severe hearing loss now and it breaks my heart not to hear Luke's speech clearly nowadays. The trouble with hearing aids is they pick up all the background noise, so one to one speech difficult. It tires me out and I'm always glad to take the aids out and retreat into my quiet world !!
Have they given you any idea when your op will be, and how long recovery will be ?? The waiting is always the worst I think, worrying about it all. Did you say you have another holiday soon ? Hope you manage to get that in before your op. Xxx
12th June Lynda we are off to Cornwall for two weeks and a friend is joining us for a week of that. My op won't be before then, anyway i am seeing the surgeon on the 3rd June so i will know more then. I am in a lot of pain this morning as my back hurts down to my ankles worse on the right leg than the left. I had forgotten how load and crowded the market is and sad to say i won't be doing any time soon again. xxxxxx
Sylvi, that's good you have your holiday before op. Hope your pain can be managed a bit so you can enjoy your break, 2 weeks in Cornwall sounds great, I'm thinking of all those wonderful gardens !! Sorry you got such bad sciatica - i have this also and it really does gnaw you away, it's relentless. I was assessed for spinal surgery few years ago but it was decided it was too risky for me so I'm just in a bad place at present and fearing for the future, but trying to smile and get on with things but it's getting so much harder to cope. Lynda xxx
Sorry your having such a rough time Sylvi.Just one point smelly candles are reckoned to be really bad for your breathing ,smell your beautiful flowers instead.
I am like you with noise and crowds - can't remember whe I last went in Birmingham! You're still going through the wars - I hope your back op gives you the relief from pain you need.
I haven't been to Birmingham market for years,i used to come up on a Saturday with a trolley and get the fruit, vege and meat when the market was outside. I don't like it the last time i came up.xxxxx
Oh Sylvi - You sound like me going to Walmart at 10 AM an Saturday. Shudddder! Rude, aggressive people in a hurry. I can't tell you how many carts people have hit me with, and I'm actually not that slow, so go figure. It sounds like a good thing to avoid if you can, or take either your daughter or husband with you to run block and tackle...
Fingers crossed for everything to move forward for the surgery sweetie...
