Leg pain ice cold sensation

I read some posts on leg pain from knee down with the sensation of cold running water. I experience this all the time especially if I've been on my feet too long. I have had severe back and leg pain since 2006. The Dr. had no answers. I was wanting to get back to posts I read earlier as they were similar to my experience.

I get this sensation when the bursitis in hip flares up , goes down outside of leg to the ankle. Its a strange feeling, I think its caused by the inflammation. I hope you can get some answers 🌸

I have this feeling right now in my left leg from the knee down and my foot feels strange like it's in fire but cold (if that makes sense).

I am due 4 th session of rituximab on Tuesday so will mention it then 😊

It is good to know others have this too. In the other hand it is so sad. My problem is also from the knee down. I'll have a fan on my face and legs I've cold. My legs are also very painful like they are very firm, but have a ripping open feeling. I don't know why Dr.s don't ever address my concerns. Thank you for your input.

I have been experiencing for about 10 years. The Dr.s keep prescribing gabepentin and I believe it is no help.

I’ve had this for 18months still no answers nightmare

Hi all, I've been suffering with this constant burning leg feeling for a while now, don't know what it is, but a while ago I mentioned this feeling of a burning cold feeling only in my left leg and my RA consultant told me she didn't think it was anything to do with my RA. So I'm just learning to live with it. If anybody gets any answers please could you post, as this does drive me mad not knowing what could be the cause. Thanks.

Lady B 😊

If your burning sensation that your feeling is running down your leg to the foot, it's your siaticia nerve . I feel it down my right leg all the time. Was told it was a pinched nerver. I feel it all the time . Some days it feels like my leg is on fire . Good luck Lady B. J. D. Quinn

Thanks j d Quinn,

I'm the same not a day goes bye that I don't feel like my leg is on fire to. If your feeling the same maybe it could be the same with myself a pinched nerve, good look to us all, and one of them things we just have to get on with I suppose.

Thanks again

Lady B😊

Lady B, I were you I'd get it checked out just in case. Mines been acting up since last year. The days that it's the worse are cold days plus dmp rainy days as well. I think mine has to do with my OA that I have. JDQUINN. Quinn

I am also told it's a nerve problem. I've had back and leg problems since 2006. I understand a lot of my back problems, but I just keep hoping that something new will come along to help resolve the leg pain. I do wish you the very best. Thank you.

LadyB. So sorry for your leg problems. I've experienced similar problems. My legs from knee down get ice cold with a sensation of cold running water. My legs are very painful. I was told it was all coming from my back, but nothing to make it better or less painful. I have had several back surgeries, but they tell me "failed" surgeries so I'll never get another. I am in Physical Therapy again, this time it's lower back traction. I have gotten some relief in my legs. I'm thankful for any relief. Do you have other back problems too or only the legs?

in reply toTeamUp

Hi Teamup thanks for your reply.

Sorry to here you also suffer with this problem. As far as I know I don't have any back problems and I've never had surgery on my back. The only thing I had years ago was an epidural to numb me from the waist down when I had a c section to have my son. I wonder if some years later this could be a problem from that. But not entirely sure. Hope your physio goes well for you and gives you a bit of relief. Maybe I've a bit of nerve damage, seeing my gp next week. Thanks again for your reply

Hugs

Lady B 😊

I have the exact same problem. Mine is associated with microvascular disease and includes livedo reticularis which is when your skin has a lacy red-to-purple color to it. Have you tried support stockings? They really help with my leg coldness and blood circulation. To me it sounds like your problem could be blood circulation also. You can get support stockings over the counter but if you have real long legs or short legs or really wide calves you would probably have to special order.

anyone has been on rituximab and experienced headaches and neck pain upto 10 days after

During my infusions with Rituximab my legs would go insane! Couldn't stop moving them and I was freezing. They had to give me Ativan and Prednisone during the infusion.

It sounds like a blood circulation problem to me as I have the same problem. Mine is from microvascular disease and I have found that support stockings help a lot. You can get them over the counter if you have pretty average legs, if not would have to order them.
