Seems a rather odd suggestion for the cause of the pain. It seems more likely that it is associated with a nerve root pain?

It might be sensible to contact your regular medical team about this. You need some help anyway dealing with the pain and a diagnosis of the cause would help with that.

That’s what a hamstring injury can be, when it pulls away from the bone. But mainly with high performing athletes! Had you been doing anything in particular, like gardening?

I've got it too. The cause is a trapped nerve at L3. It might ease after several months

Or surgery - but stay away from hospitals if you can.

I had pain in my calves, I couldn't walk it was so bad. The cardiologist diagnosed blocked blood vessels. Prior to this sudden onset of pain I had attended aerobic and weight training classes three times a week and walked for 3/4 hour every day, I was not over weight and my cholesterol was perfect. I didn't accept his diagnosis until he showed me the actual images. Two days later I had stents in the right leg and then the left leg the following week. That was 3 years ago.
