Today I had my first visit to Addenbrookes physio/ pain clinic . Normally ( rarely) I am seen in rheumatology.
I can not praise the physio/pain clinic enough!!!!! So often on NRAS there are unhappy posts . But todays experience in pain clinic was superb !!!!! A very extensive examination followed by a warm , empathetic conversation ! And , all my notes had been read !! I am SO impressed !

I nearly fell off my chair as the new GP rang on Saturday to tell me that they’d rechecked my blood and pee results and I needed another lot of antibiotics! Donny said he’d rung to say it’s better to be cautious but it was an awful line and he thought I said I’d only taken one. Actually I’d said I’d taken the last one this morning. He laughed ! So I agree and always think our local and much maligned hospital has a super RA unit. Do think though they must think how awful some people are as ungrateful and rude, impatient and sometimes time wasters. And I know the NHS is struggling with staff shortages as my sister is still nursing at 65. The patient Led Initiative is a good idea and seems to work here too.
And this morning the Urology dept rang as part of the PLI and I’ve an appointment Friday. Well shocked that it’s working is an understatement. Brilliant and so fast. X
