PAIN UNDER R/SIDE RIB

Well seen go this afternoon and she is going to arrange an Endoscopy. Was very tender over my stomach and liver. She advised I stop the MTX and is contacting the Rheumy consultant. Have a prescription for 'Buscopan' and have to increase Omeprezole. Thank you to everyone for your advice xx

Hi Mary--- I had the same symptoms--- I had am endoscope and was diagnosed with duodenitis and a sliding hiatus hernia

I can't tolerate ppi's very well as they give me horrendous upper trapeed gas but seem to be managing the pain with Ranitadine. The pain was constantly under my right rib and radiated through to my back. 😑

That's how this pain is but today it's been a bit easier. Not sure if that's the buscapan. I can't take most painkillers either. Anyway we have to keep going. At least I have been told my surgery on my hand/wrist will be within the next 6 weeks x

Definitely stop MTX - it gave me the liver of an alcoholic and I don't drink. I've been on biologics for a few years now and currently on Rituximab. I started to have pain in the stomach area once a month, after 2 colonoscopies to look at stomach etc. I decided to DIY and now do a liver detox every 6 months and stopped drinking coffee - it worked!

Thank you, have stopped the MTX as well so will see what happens. Seeing Rheumy in 2 weeks so maybe he can give me something else x
