Hi All

I have my PiP appointment coming up on 21st this month and am getting really stressed out about it. Can anyone let me know what happens ? Is it a physical examination and questions ? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hiya Trish. It's no good me saying try not to get worked up about it because I did & it didn't make a ha'porth of difference! Mine was with Atos on 18th December & I reported how it went here healthunlocked.com/nras/pos... if you'd like my viewpoint & then the result here healthunlocked.com/nras/pos.... I replied before Christmas when you asked then but maybe you didn't see that. Anyway I hadn't received notification of PIP being awarded then!

If you'll take a bit of advice, tell it how it is on your bad days, no saying I can do so & so on good days, that could mark you down. I don't know if you've seen this benefitsandwork.co.uk/perso..., you might find it useful reading! I took my copy of the application form with me & glad I did as I needed to refer to it once or twice when I thought the assessor had misunderstood my notes. If there is anything I've missed in my posts you'd like help on just ask & I'll help where I can. Don't forget to ask for a travel expenses form if it's not offered.

Hope this helps & the very best of luck for the 21st. Do let us know how you think it went. :)

Try not to stress. Hopefully you kept a copy of your form so go over that to refresh your memory and note if you have got worse as it was probably a good few months ago you submitted it The assessor asked questions related to what I had put on the form. I think if depends on what 'disability' you are claiming as to the physical tests you are asked to do - mine was to grip his fingers and how far and how I walked, could I balance on one leg although this one he was not happy to ask me to do. Looking back it really was quite straightforward but it is horrible having to prove yourself and it also makes you realise how your life is not the same as other people. Farm

don't go alone ,try to keep calm and take your time to answer the questions say it as it really is for you on a bad day ,its not as bad as you fear and its soon all over.
