Pip Pip hurray!!!

Very odd. Had a telephone call from the DWP at 6.45 this evening. I was awaiting a tribunal date then this evening had a phone call saying they had reviewed my appeal and after a few questions to clarify a few points I was awarded over the phone standard Living and standard mobility but still had the right to appeal if I accepted . It will be back dated to February. After the stress of application and filling out my appeal it was decided over the phone ... not complaining but unexpected 😁

Well done you , but you shouldn't be put through all the stress.

Wonderful news. Now you can relax. Just wish you hadn't needed to go through all the stress.

I wonder if the up coming election has any bearing on this... a telephone decision late in the evening ??? 🤔🤔

That is good to read really pleased. Hope the same happens for me.

🤞🤞it will I didn’t think I would get that much or that it would happen so quickly only 5 weeks since my application for tribunal. We should get it automatically this disease is progressive and it doesn’t go away. Our medication alone should give us automatic help.. good luck

So pleased it’s over for you. It’s a new one on me. Seems as though the official numbers of those going to tribunal will start to be on a downward turn. Hmmm, the cynical me would think it's suspicious. Never mind, you have a nice amount coming your way, it's over & done with. You can enjoy Christmas. 😊

in reply tonomoreheels

Thank you I too am suspicious

Terrific news! Does seem odd .... perhaps there have been many complaints about your assessor.

Anyway, a very nice early Christmas 🎄 present 🎁

Excellent news 👏🏼👏🏼

I really don’t know why they put people through this stress, they should assess and award properly in the first place, obviously reviewing appeals and trying to cut costs by not going to tribunals!

At least you got what you deserve 😀

Costs must be way more than what they were trying to save on cuts with appeals and tribunals so futile, diminishing people’s well being whilst doing. Shame on govt.

Hi thats great news. May I ask if you was awarded any points before the appeal as I was awarded zero points and waiting for the MR decision before I can appeal. Thank you.

in reply tosueshepy

I was awarded zero points for everything. Do persevere it’s not easy but we are entitled

May I ask of your conditions.

in reply tosueshepy

What would you like to know?

sueshepy profile image
sueshepy in reply to

I have fibro and osteo and possibly ra amongst diabetes. Although PIP is awarded on how you go about daily living it seems to me some conditions are more recognised than other diseased. Sorry if I sound like Im being nosy.

No your not....are there days when your so fatigued you barely move? Are there days you are in pain is cooking or lifting pots a problem? Carrying things up and down stairs? Confidence driving ? Working a struggle? Travelling? Regular hospital appointments or blood tests? Parking in hospitals in not cheep. Ask your doctor and nurse for a support letter telling them all the things you struggle with.. it’s not all the time just your bad days . Are you having more bad than good days? I am that went a long way. Hope this helps

I believe it's grandstanding by them. They leave it 'til the last moment hoping you will pull out of your appeal! I know somebody who turned up at the appeal and the lady actually got a phone call from the DWP whilst she was in the reception area!
