Hello
Personally I would recommend you see the GP and get referred back to hospital, something may be not right

Hi, I had a new knee 3 months ago. I have had some clicking, but no feeling of separation as you describe. I think I'd be inclined to contact the hospital, failing that see your gp. It certainly sounds odd. M
Hi Roger, Hubby thankfully doesn't have RA, but has had a new knee, roughly 6 years ago, he says he can sometimes hear clicking but has never had the feeling of the knee separating as you describe, so I would suggest you ring hospital to see the surgeon as soon as you can, if they follow the same procedure as hubby had you will have a follow up appointment, and that should have the number on that you would need to ring. Hope it's all o.k. for you and it's just the knee settling in.
I still have clicking when i am in bed and it has been two years since i have had my knee done. Roger just mention it when you see the surgeon at your six week check up,but i think they will tell you it is nothing to worry about. Good luck with your new knee, not that you will need it.xxxxx
I've had both knees replaced and my first one clanks & clicks most of the time - it was done 5 yrs a go.
So far my new one doesn't but I was told that it is normal for them to clunk - after all they are metal joints! But ask your orthopod.
Had both knees replaced way back in 1996, they both make amazing clicking noises - been checked but okay. I would get yours checked as your op was quite recent.
