Hello all, my name is patty and i was amember of this group sometime ago. I was well practiced quitter i wouldquit for a few daysor months start backuo for a few days or months and the cycle woould repeat. Eventually i just gave up trying to quit. And i think thats when i left here because i felt weak or frustrated or whatever . Eventually i did quit and stick to it. . In 2020 i gave up cigarettes and around this time last year i was completely of nrt i . Was reminded of you lovely lot through an email recently and wanted to give an update and to sayto newbies if you have to keep trying eventually ne willl stick for the more seasoned quitters i have a question . As i mentioned earlier im comingup on one year nicotine free,is it normal to have some light craving or maybe even anodd dream about smoking around that time?because it threw me for a loop. .

Great to hear from you Pattygirl1992 and wow! what an update! I am delighted for you, well done!

These cravings coming up to your massive 1 year milestone are perfectly normal and it is crucial you don't get complacent. The smoking dreams also can linger for some time (they did for me), Keep up the great work and hope you have something planned for the 1 year, the Penthouse here is back up and running since lockdown!!

PS What date is your 1 year?

Hello again Patty. It’s good to hear that you’re doing well.

I think it’s normal to get light cravings coming up to a year. Others might disagree but I certainly experienced that. As for smoking dreams - I still dream that I’m smoking occasionally; even after being off them for over six years!
