Lozenges?? Does it affect asthma??

Been on the patch since last Monday, i was given the mouth spray also but anxiety made me not wanna use it straight away and I tried to cut down. Since then Ive cut down to 3 cigs a day from about 12. But can't seem to push past the 3, so tried the mouth spray and omg it's the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted so definitely not using it. Has anyone tried the lozenges? What's the best flavour and if anyone has asthma has it affected it? I'm always super worried with my asthma being affected by anything now as it's finally (touch wood) back on track. Thanks!

I'm using 21mg patch, due to how stressed I get my stop smoking nurse decided to start me off with high nicotine and slowly reduce it. Should be moving to the next lower this week but I'm just struggling to get lower than 3 a day without feeling stressed and highly irritable. Do they taste nice?

HiIf you really want to stop ideally get off all nicotine as soon as. You are not addicted to smoking but nicotine. Would recommend Allen Carr easy way to stop smoking. It dispels all the myths and illusions around smoking and all the reasons/excuses we have for smoking. I stopped completely halfway through the book as I realised how to take back control of my life. Still get the odd craving and counter that by sipping water, doing something to take mind off it, but most of all, congratulating myself daily for being smoke free! I can breathe through my nose again and have stopped coughing. On my 8th week now. Hated the lozenges in the end. Good luck.

All of them taste like that ...that's what micotine tastes like. Patches don't tsste but not good for anxiety. Nicotine in general isn't. Those three smokes you are on is brilliant. Give you're self a bit if time to go lower. Even with patches etc if you're weaning yourself off you can't wean it right away. I was doing three a day the last time I quit and that was including the butt rolly that I scraoed the three rollie buts into which was really four but to me it was three. Then I gave up the butt and then I gave up resmoking the rolly. When i had had enough I put it in water so I couldn't relight it. And I just didn't smoke the whole thing. Just enough to keep me going. By the end of that I was on one a day and then when I went a day and forgot to smoke that day and didn't miss it till late at night I said .f it now is the time to push the gap. Didn't miss it the next day... Craved like hell the third day but I'd gone that far now I may as well keep going and I did but I have caved a few times along the way again.... When they're around other people have one...I was crying down the road and someone came and gave me one and I just didn't even think. What can you do you just say its a blip. So long as you are heading in the right direction it doesn't natter how you get there or if you have a set back ...but I will say those nicotine products are very very strong. You're on three smokes now...one spray of that stuff is probably two smokes worth. I'd stick with where you are and wait till you're resdy to go the next step and not add any more nicotine into the picture. Its so strong in those things.
