New quit

Hi quitters, my last day of smoking will be Friday and anyone reading my posts will know it's my 2nd attempt. This time it's cold turkey for me and my body and mind is telling me why are you smoking again I'll be posting everyday so every post of support is very much appreciated. This time I know what returning to cigarettes feels like and I am prepared for any BS that life throws my way, and I know sucking on fags doesn't change the situation or change the way I feel so look out for my first post on Saturday!!! Good luck to all quitters and keep going on this long but so rewarding road...😄

Well done for getting back onto it Quitters!

Cold turkey really is a fight and even though you have been through withdrawal before, quitting cold turkey really is a withdrawal and the mind games continue for some time, be prepared for them before you start, I believe that cold turkey is the most effective way because you no longer giving your body nicotine so you have to undoubtedly learn to live without it. I’m no way an expert in this field however I can only tell you what I struggle with and how it is for me.

Good luck with it and have belief and you will be able to achieve anything, I have had some really stressful days since quitting, where I’ve really thought I was going to smoke however just to be able to breathe and walk away and think about yourself for a moment makes that stressful time so much easier to deal with.

I wish you all the best and I’m sure there are plenty quitters that will help you along on your journey 😊

Thank you for your thoughtful comments and I'm actually looking forward to Friday as it's my last day on the smokes. Some would say quit immediately but I have to be mentally in the right place and Friday is my chosen quit day no2. Cigarettes are doing nothing for me it's purely habit and ive know this for a long time.. The support is truly appreciated and roll on Friday not another drag, quit 2 let's go!!🚭
