Due to start Champix tomorrow!

NEW TO SITE Keep hearing horror stories about side effects of Champix - any POSITIVE experiences would be welcomed - really need help in quitting - was 70 yesterday! I exercise 5 days a week - swimming & Gym so am fairly fit. THANK YOU. Ann

Yes, Champix can be "Nasty" but if taken with the attitude for what it is meant to be it is a wonderful aid... (With the pun on aid)

Champix will not make you stop but will help you to stop...Meaning you must stop...and Champix will help...

Champix mimics nicotine and your brain except it as if you are smoking...It takes away the physical cravings but you must cope with the physiological effects...which is maybe the worst of the quitting journey...

You can do it....If I could do it after 38 years of 60 a day and be smoke free for 4 years now...you can..

I have used Champix to quit, stopped smoking on day 17 and am now 92 days smoke free 🙌🏻 I didn’t really experience any bad side effects other than weight gain but think that really is just part and parcel off quitting. Good luck x

Hi Anna, I'm on my third week of not smoking. Don't take your pill on an empty stomach. Take if after you eat. Its working for me. Good luck
