Stay strong Fabienne the first weeks of treatment your body is adjusting bloated belly and other reactions are very normal with any way of quitting not just Chantix ..it’s called withdrawing as you know .Always read the pinned posts at the top or bottom of each page .you will find ver valued information to make your quit journey much easier .

Fabienne It’s time for your body to start healing .you will see how things get so much easy as days goes by ! I used Chantix to quit .I’m now 1 year smoke free and loving it .

Chantix is much easier than cold turkey but you still have to stay firm and distract your mind in case you get an urge to smoke .just take control of your thinking .

If tomorrow is your quit date lower your caffeine and quit alcohol . Lots of water is important and food with pill is recomended

After 1 month you will not even remember to smoke ..enjoy life and freedom ..very important if you want to succeed :

No one puff ever ! ☝️

Side effects can cause gloominess and if continues you should see a doctor. On the other note you are saying goodbye to a part of your life and secretly that makes us sad. Tiredness is a withdrawal symptoms even though I’ve heard people say it’s the medication. Either way it’s our body going through the motions. You will be out of the woods soon enough. :)

Thank you everyone. I am day 3 of supposed quitting however i am still smoking 1 a day but from 20 i am still very happy with this at the moment. I am very bloated and look like 5 months pregnant but apparently that is a common side effect? Good news the sad and lonley feeling has lifted but i am still absolutely shattered. Going to bed at 9pm most nights and still exhausted..had anyone else experienced this and if so how long did it last for? Any advise would be appreciated.

Fabienne0 that’s exactly what happened to me I couldn’t stop on the designated day and I continued with just 1 but a week latter I hated the taste and smell of cigarrets so bad I started having vomit with just one a day so after that luckily I stopped . very soon you will diside to quit . thats also the good about the pill ,it will make you quit . 👍
