Hey everyone, firstly, Im brand new on here.

I'm on day 8 now and I'm very proud of every second that I've managed to stay quit - I look forward to a lifetime of not being dependent on nicotine. I started by dropping my one pack a day of american spirits habit and switching over to an e-cig.. I weened myself down on that over the course of 5 weeks and then gave up the e-cig and am now entirely nicotine free.

I didnt really have any serious sleep issues while I was using the e-cig. But since I quit entirely, I have been waking up 5-6 times a night, typically about 30-45 mins after I first fall asleep and then every 1-2 hours after. Its exhausting, Im always tired and I absolutely cannot wait until things normalize.

How was YOUR sleep when you stopped using nicotine? I'd love to hear about it :)

I'm very proud of you quitting smoking 🤩 It may take two or three weeks but every body is different. Keep up the good work God Bless You.

Ugh sleep disturbance and lack of sleep can be torture. I take 450 mg Magnesium Citrate (mineral) and 20 mg Amitryptilline (prescription) before bed so I’m doing okay. But Champix caused me issues with sleep so I only stayed on it for 6 weeks thereabouts.

Others on this site said quitting smokes caused insomnia and sleep disturbance. Enuf sleep is a major necessity for my work so I take something. It’s a personal decision. Make sure to talk to your doc.
