It's observed and encouraged on every 13th of March on the second Wednesday, to encourage people over the World to stop smoking.

No Smoking Day, 2019 is being celebrated on March 13, but you can stop smoking on any other day of the year. The main purpose of this day is to spread awareness about the harmful health Affects of tobacco consumption through the cigarette and other modes. An important message is to help smokers to get rid of the bad habit of smoking.

We all know the bad health risks one can adopt from the tobacco and thousands of youth between 12 and 17 years of age still start smoking each day. Some start it out out curiosity and others might just want to look like grownups.

The effects of smoking start with coughing and throat irritation accompanied by bad breath and smelling clothes. It also leads to patchy skin and discolouration of teeth. Over the time, more serious conditions may develop, including health problems like heart disease, bronchitis, pneumonia, stroke, and stroke, and make types of cancer, out of which oral cancer is quite common.

It's time we stopped worrying! Prevent smoking to prevent premature deaths. It is one of the main causes of the serious and often fatal condition, including heart disease and lung cancer. No matter what your age is or how long you've been smoking, your health benefits will begin as soon as you stop.

If you want to stop smoking, you can give a call on 1800 270 1279 or Quit-addiction.com. You can also e- register yourself by filling mobile number and email ID through WWW.nhp.gov.in/quit.tobacco. Thereafter, a two-way SMS process begins, wherein the registered user will be sent a welcome QUITNOW SMS, immediately from the short-code allocated through National Informatics Centre Viz 5616115. This will be followed by more SMSs, some of the will request a reply back.
