Hi...I am new here and want to thank everyone for their posts. I quit cold turkey on Dec. 10th of last year. But a saddness in the family the first week of April was too much and I had 1-2 cigs a day for about a week. There are days I have none but the craving gets soooo strong that I give in. I can't believe I started again, and now am having such a hard time quitting. I am hoping encouragement from all of you will help me and I can give you my last smoke date soon. Thanks!

Sorry it's been so hard for you glasscup, I have so much respect for anyone going cold turkey!!!
Try not to beat yourself up over starting again, we are all human and fall from time to time, key is to get back up dust yourself off and try again. Remember all the reasons you wanted to quit to start with.
Cravings are strong but you are stronger.. 💪 😀

Hi Glasscup,
Stay positive it's hard, I'm on day 5 of quitting cold turkey, and I have cravings and what makes it even harder are the vivid dreams/nightmares every night, but there is a post on here that is quite helpfull healthunlocked.com/nosmokin...
It's how I'm doing it, didn't read the post until I'd posted a similar thing,
I get up every morning and promise myself that I'm not going to smoke today, and every time I get a craving I remember that people go through stress, drepession and all sorts and never resort to smoking, so why can't I do the same, and when I go to bed at night I congratulate myself and tell myself I'm proud for keeping my promise of not smoking today.
And I think most of the people on here have tried quitting before, I know I have many times, but just because you didn't manage before doesn't mean you can't now.
Good luck! and I hope to see a quit date! x
Glasscup...To quit smoking is one of the most difficult things you will do in your life...But if you attack this monster it becomes weaker and weaker....you must go stronger each day to reach your goal...and you can..!!
Hope to congratulate you soon on one week smoke free..!!
