Hi guys. I’ve had a strange experience and wanted to share. I quit in September and management my weight pretty well. In January I gained 15 lbs and was only able to maintain my weight in feb by joining weight watchers. Couldn’t loose any weight eating 1200 calories per day and working every day at the gym. Found a dr specializing in hormones. My body had zero hormones. Not sure if this was a result of my body finally cleansing itself of nico or what. Any way started 3 types of hormones last week and have already lost 3 pounds. I hope this continues.

Zero hormones? That definitely qualifies as a strange experience!! So glad you've sorted it out though, and are losing weight :)

There were a few other issues which I thought was still because of my body adjusting to being smoke free. Sleep - hasn't been normal for 6 months. Extremely emotional - cry at the drop of a hat. No energy, always cold, headaches.. All of these are symptoms can be from lack of hormones. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the answer. I'm ready to be normal again.

Thanks Roisin, I'm looking forward to the milestone. I'm finally starting to tell more people that I quite. I'm been so afraid and didn't want to jinx my success. :)

Thank you. I’m pretty proud. Leaving today for Peru. High altitude was one of the reasons for quitting. I knew I couldn’t hike in the shape I was in as a smoker.
