So a really odd side effect... I'm vegan, have been for 8 months after 12 years of being veggie but I do actually love all the things I don't eat.
Since not smoking, I'm massively craving a big juicy ham and cheese sandwich, pepperoni pizza, or anything I see! It's as if all of my 'say no willpower' is focusing so hard on not smoking, it's forgotten about the other things I love but don't allow myself. Has anyone else had this weirdness?
I'm now craving meat and cheese more than cigarettes!!

Hey Royoraf, these food cravings are normal as you get your new found taste and smell buds back Over 2 years on, mine are still going wild. Now eating meats and spices that never done before. Time to add to that spice and herb rack to add mouth watering flavour to your vegan dishes 🌶🥒🥗🍲🍝
Wow, that's tough. When I quit I stuck to small snacks of nuts and fresh fruit, maybe some porridge with tinned fruit, baked beans, toast with marmite if I wanted something really savoury. Avoided sweets and biscuits etc except for the odd small treat. I found that once I'd eaten I didn't fancy other less healthy stuff any more, just had to stay focussed on what was the best option no matter what else I fancied. Hope this can work for you.
Yeah Royoraf my taste and smell buds went crazy when I stopped over 2 years ago, still have strong cravings for strawberry ice cream and salt n vinegar crisps - it has settled down now and only a treat now and again
Maybe our house chef RoisinO1 can give you some tasty vegan recipes
Yeah really good thanks, on my first smoke free holiday which is a whole new world of challenges but it was really good to get off the plane and not be charging past people to get outside for a cigarette!!
