Just thought id write a brag report for all who made it. I reeeally wanted a cig yesterday-no idea why- but made it through. Whew. Glad i can say that! Any ideas why Holiday was so hars to distract my brain. Has been over 12 weeks so no physical addiction posible, but it sure felt like it. Repeated psychological craves! Today has been better. Thank God!

Brag away, it's an amazing achievement. Well done 😊😊😊 I survived my first Christmas in 20 years without a smoke and even had a few vodkas. So happy to still be a non smoker x

It's been nearly two years for me and I still got the urge on a few occasions. I've been away on holiday over Christmas so that hasn't helped. Anyway, back to normal now. Well done for resisting Exsmo

Well done you and you should brag you are doing amazing. Im really proud of you. I couldnt smoke if I wanted to. Been so ill. Spent the two days before xmas being sick. Still suffering with sinus and headache. Had no champix in my body since 23rd. So not taking it. I have my ecig when I get an urge. I do think its the missing you are feeling. Mine are not physical and I have only used the champix for 7 weeks. Was planning on using it longer but I dont feel like eating and its not a good pill to take on an empty stomach x

Sorry you're feeling ill. Still, you made it thru smoke free. Take care and hope you're feeling better for New Year.

Wow ive been off champix since 23rd too, Laura6. I think that may be part of your headache. As i was weaning off id get a back of head & neck ache on the 2days off. It did go away. How are you feeling now?

Im with you Exsmo. Im on week 11 and the cravings are terrible. They truly havent gone completely away. Some days better than others. The anxiety is through the roof these past several days. Im guessing its the terrible 3's. I have cravings but still dont want to smoke.

KathieO. Just read what i hope will help us both. HALT. Ask are you hungry? Angry? Lonely? Tired? Then deal w that feeling it's probably triggering the crave. I still think drinking water helps alot too so there shoud be a thirsty in there. Well done on making it through.

Hi exsmo,

Made it through Christmas but am really craving today! Pos cause the in laws have left today and I’ve returned to work, but am holding out although it would be very easy to pop to the shops. I’ve almost done 10 days cold turkey and don’t want to give up now! I think!!

Thanks exmo, youre right I don’t want to go back to day one, I do find reading on this site helps to reaffirm why you are doing it so will keep reading too!

Indeed! Also whyquit.com has good things to read too. Is so helpful having this community. Woke at 2:30am & was going to get on here, but NO. There was a gloch in my phone service so i had to call english as a second language customer service that had a 5 second delay for them to hear. 30 minutes later and very loud indian music while on hold to wake whole house & i was more than ready for a pack of cigs. Payment made 2days ago they had put on reserve was the outcome😒. Needless to say at 3:30am I NEEDED this site! Thank you all for helping me stay smoke free.

Thank you. I wanted to check in that I'm still keeping strong and that I do come on here often to check in on everyone. I've just not had a whole lot of time to respond as much as I'd like to, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. Lol. Have a great day dear.

All right Laureenc! Way to go. Very proud of us! It's getting easier to say/feel that w/out fearing i'll go back out of misplaced arrogance that am no longer a nic addict. So grateful for this site, you all going through it with me. Knowledge may be power, but pair it with understanding and emcouragement and its hard to fear anything! Am proud of us all. This was a tough hurdle and we aced it. :)
