I am day 96 smoke free and I am still experiencing uncontrollable rage aprox once per week. I have never been an angry person and I cant understand were this is coming from. I have no urges to smoke which is positive, would be grateful for any advice on the anger issue.

Welcome Joan11 to our community and congratulations on 96 days quit, that is great!
Are you quitting cold turkey or using an aid with NRT? If using NRT, that may be a side effect of anger as if going cold turkey the anger definitely should have eased off at this stage but if getting bouts of nicotine and varying it will cause the anger as your mind and body will be confused and trying desperately to rewire and repair.
I would suggest deep breathing exercises to help, I quit cold turkey almost 2 years ago and for the first 12 weeks was like a mad woman especially at the weekends, I inhaled for 5-6 seconds and exhhaled for the same about 5 times when I came it on. Also, lots of water and a bit of walk every day to clear the head, took time out for myself too, lots of baths, listening to music and just being kind to myself.

Thanks Roisin, I went off the cigarettes cold turkey! I have had many failed attempts in the past with NRT hence my decision to go cold turkey. I will try your suggestions and hope it will reduce with time. I am just past the 3 month mark so I'm hoping I'm over the worse! This is my first quit that Im actually not craving cigarettes. Thank you for your kind words of support.
Hi Joan, anger is a common reaction to any form of withdrawal, not everyone is hit by it but some are big time, you sadly are one of them, have you been DR's since your quit, if not I suggest you make an appointment and tell him/her how your feeling, I would also suggest a blood test to look at your vit levels, particularly vitamin b
