I'm new to this but thought I'd introduce myself I'm on day 14 smoke free And honestly don't know why I didn't try Champix before! It's been pretty easy, albeit the awful dreams, nausea, shortness of breath etc πππbut I've tried to quit so many times before and failed! After smoking for half of my life I feel like I've finally kicked it!

Welcome Kacoates34 and congratulations on 2 weeks smoke free, that is great! Well done! I quit cold turkey almost 2 years ago and l too wish I done it years ago as it is so achievable when you really put your mind to it
Below is some links to some helpful posts and also a link for tips on the nausea with champix. We look forward to reading your progress and helping if needed!

Thank you I felt a bit odd yesterday - quite stroppy and up and down all day! I guess it's the wonders of Champix!! I was very sceptical about taking it but so glad I did. My breathing is slowly feeling a bit better (dreaded cough is still lingering but my sore throat has finally gone!) Been looking at holidays for next year as the app I use worked out i was spending Β£2800 a year on cigs π±π±π±π± made me feel sick!!
Well done Kacoates34 - think no matter what way we quit, the moodiness is a one of the main withdrawal symptoms in the early days, take time out, treat yourself - it is all for a worthy cause
Yeah Kacoates34 this is a normal complaint as the early stages as oxygen is now getting into your blood stream, you have so much to look forward to, new found taste and smell, curries are just amazing and send your taste buds wild when we quit - I also developed a new appreciate of nature, everything seems so much brighter and fresher smoke free
It's good to know the circulation issue is normal as it freaked me out slightly ππ feels a bit better today π can't believe ill be 3 weeks smoke free at the weekend, so Happy!! X
