Hey Ya'll! I just wanted to give an update on lil ol me. Today I signed a contract with my gym to do regular Crossfit. I have been doing Crossfit Bootcamp that last 6 weeks, 3 days a week, and I've done the bootcamp twice. I'm real excited about this positive change because I've noticed that on the days that I exercise I'm not as moody, have energy, and am social to my family. Tomorrow will make 3 days in a row I have worked out and I will say this... ouch! But it is worth it! I wonder if I'm switching one addiction for another? haha! I feel it's a good idea, too, to work out because of my increased appetite as of late. My headaches are still full force, but when I'm in the gym, trying to finish my workout first, I'm happy and feel like a normal part of society. It's a great feeling seeing how much I've improved in my running and longevity of exercises without taking breaks. I'm a new me, but still have so far to go. I hope things get better soon, but until they do, I'm taking things one day at a time. I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm around people who smoke, I enjoy smelling it sometimes. It doesn't make me want a cig. It actually makes me foggy headed when I'm around it. Maybe it's the sweet smell of success each day knowing I'm not a prisoner anymore. God Bless!

Sheena..If Gold medals are issued you must get one...This is a very positive post and very true..exercise does help...Surely addiction to exercise can not be as bad as addicted to nicotine..!!

Yes, when someone lit up a cigarette it smells good but that someone does not smell good...Enjoy your new found freedom...it is very nice !!

Great post Sheena, you really are doing great and the exercise is brilliant, especially at this early stage in your quit which will definitely stand to you.

For your headaches (you are a migraine sufferer, aren't you?), maybe some herbal supplements can help this, camomile tea is also good, think I may have given you this link before which may be able to give you some advice on them

Wow Sheena, that's awesome! Exercise was one of my reasons for wanting to quit smoking, I couldn't breathe! So well done on starting crossfit and being a non smoker, you're an inspiration :D
