Hi all
Day 4 is coming to a close and I'm feeling remarkably good. For me this is a major personal milestone as I've always struggled most with the physical withdrawal and this is when I've always failed.
Now I know that the nicotine has left my body, and the rest is in my head and I'm OK and at peace with this.
After obsessing about smoking for the last 3 days, there were several occasions today when I just plain forgot about it. When I did get a craving, I just grinned and said to myself "I know what you are trying to do Nicotine, and you know you are losing. F off, I don't need you anymore" πππ
I'm sure there are tough days ahead, and I don't want to be over confident, but.......I do not smoke anymore, I AM AN EX SMOKER! That just sounds so good!
Top credit too to my lovely wife Emmy. She quit at the same time as me. She's approached her quit very differently....cold turkey, not really told anyone else, hasn't joined a forum. Just shows how everyone's approach is different, but the end goal is exactly the same.
We've been calm and understanding to each other and have given each other room when needed..,.which is a major result - we were concerned we might kill each other! π
Again, all of your support was and remains invaluable
Hope you are all having a wonderful smoke free day!
