I know I'll never smoke again i only just made it after asthma attack I am slightly dihydrated because i have achalasia and losing my voice but I tell you this after 40 odd years of smoking i can now taste what I eat and drink missed so much of that. Please give up smoking you know it makes sense.

Thanks Nozmo I put it down to fear after not being able to breathe that night and seeing so many people on the ward fight for one breath. Frightening.

It must have been horrific! I wouldn't wish that on anybody but at least some good has come of it and you have stopped.

My dad developed emphysema and spent the last three years of his life in and out of hospital, on oxygen and nebulisers...horrible to see, but much worse for him to go through. All because of smoking.

I watched my Dad suffer bronchitis and he had to have oxygen last months of his life he also had dust from the pits it killed him adventualy. NNothing like fear to snap one out of a bad habit.
