Week 3 hellooooo it's me

Day 15 coming to an end. Feel I'm commited to keeping on. Spent hours in company of a friend smoking today and though I was fine at the time it has been hard since, caused a crave and been a bit narky. Anyway who cares getting to week 3 feels good. 😁

Flipping awesome Anne Marie I tell you what if u can spend a couple of hours in the company of a smoker at this early stage you are onto a winner, that penthouse is beckoning you, brilliant job! Xxx

well done on not smoking, i remember my first encounter with a smoker and a new quit, found it difficult to keep eye contact and was rubbing my hands. you are allowed to be a little narked, you earnt it! x

Well done on both counts Annmarie, firstly getting to Week 3 and secondly for eventually brushing aside that crave and moving forward :)

Another trigger point met head on and beaten, well done you! :)

Well done, sounds like you have cracked this quit, you are doing great x

Congratulations AnnMarie. I haven't been in that situation yet, but well done for dealing with it. 15 days.......excellent.

AnnMarie! A friend of mine popped round this evening, and asked if I wanted a smoke. a) I said no thanks and b) I insisted she have one just so I could prove I could stay strong, and I could! (well, not insisted, I'd never FORCE anyone to smoke...just insisted that I didn't mind her smoking!)

I reckon we're both going to be ok :D

That's great you have done amazing there. In a way I find it a bit early to be tested in this way but you can't stop life going on around you can you! I am not finding it too easy again today but I really do find you a support at the moment. Hope I can repay if you wobble. Tonight I'm reading lots again to get my mind right. A very rock and roll Friday NOT but really want to get back in the zone. I have a night out coming up next week and I think that's what's bothering me. Maybe I need to accept its too soon. It's the social thing that broke my last quit at eight weeks. Anyway well done and deep down I think we're going do it to. X x x

Rock'n'roll Fridays - here's mine! I made a complicated vegetable pie and had mother round for tea, during which nightmare-teen-girl created a massive atmosphere coz she's tired and really REALLY grumpy (is 14 too old to put them down for an afternoon nap?), then I did Jillian 'Damn-her-eyes' Michaels 30 Day Shred (including the press-ups) coz I've decided to grab the bull by the horns fitness-wise, so now I'm sweaty and my legs AND arms are made of string but hey, I haven't thought about smoking for about ten seconds, so it's all working ;) I read a thing on another thread yesterday, it was long-winded but really interesting...I'll find it...

Well done both of you...:-D

Ince you are hilarious, press up's. I think my body would actually ask what had happened to the previous owner. I may need to follow though because the food consumption is out of control! 😁

My body asked exactly that question! Followed by 'where's the buttery toast?!'

Now, if you want some long winded reading, there's this, can't remember where I found it now, and it's mostly stuff we already know, but it kept me occupied for minutes on wednesday...

And talesfromthequit.com is pretty good, too... happy reading! (And you'll be ok, whenever you decide to go Out. As long as you're prepared. My NHS smokefree pack suggests just saying 'no thanks' if someone offers you a fag. Is that really all there is to it?! ;) )

Ooh I do 30 day shred, on 3rd day , its leg wobbling hard...how many days have you done it? Are you on level 1? She is so fit, I would kill for her abs...

It's great Ali! Mega tough, wait till you get to level 3 ;) I've just started again today...The thing is, I've done it a few times. It works. BUT once I reach 30 days, I go all 'where's my massive cake and barrel of wine?' and then I'm lardy again :(

I have been out with smokers since day one today was the first day I coped with it without wanting to join them or scream lol. It certainly tests us. It's not possible to avoid smokers here, we meet up daily with other ex pats, most of whom smoke, it's all part of our life here in sunny Spain.
