Day 53. Been this way for the past 4 nights. Not going to beat around the bush but I'm craving? sooooo badly!! Nothing has happened to set me off, I'm calm (I think).....this isn't like me! What's happening?? Advice appreciated please x

you have my empathy and sympathy too. i get them too just out of the blue, there is usually a trigger association for me. like today i saw someone smoking and i wanted what they had .. daft thought really co i bet they want what i have . just keep saying nope you know it works , if that fails then carry on doing what youve been doing since you quit. best of luck.

Poor you. I'm beginning to notice a pattern when my cravings get worse. I set myself little goals and when I've achieved them, I get the cravings. So i just noticed you're day 53, just past the 50 day milestone. I've just done 2 months and noticed the cravings are back but not as bad as before. So I am hoping each time it will get a little easier. It will get better for you Dolores. We just have to do this a day at a time, an hour at a time if necessary. You are doing so well, you can get through this.

Thanks guys! Taking it all onboard and hope it goes away tomorrow. I cut down on the patches 3 weeks ago so I've ruled that out. I do have an inhalator which I don't use normally but it's there for an extreme emergency. I have no intention of returning to the arms of old nic but it's frustrating all the same. And I thought I was over the worst.....:/

A sincere thanks to everyone for your support tonight. Still feeling really miserable. I'm so desperately missing my big bro and it hurts really bad. I really don't think a cigarette is going to cure that though. I did eat a xmas sized tube of smarties, 3 bags of crisps followed by a lot of snapping at everyone and a good cry. Better? No but I'm still not going to smoke. TG- amazing post and I can certainly imagine how bad I would feel if I did x

I hope things are better for you today. Can I just say how much I admire you for both opening up about how you were feeling and for riding it out.? It really isn't an easy thing to do as those 'downer' times are pants and then some.....I hope the smarties helped (I must admit, there are few situations smarties can't improve ;)). I'm sure you must be missing your brother dreadfully, but I'll bet he's not half proud of what you have achieved these past 53 (no- 54 now!) days.

May today be a fantastic day to make up for yesterday. You certainly deserve it to be.

Thank you Skiddaw and everyone else who replied last night. Really helps sometimes to get it off your chest. I find that I "crave" when something else is wrong and it just took a bit of digging last night to find out. Time is a healer they say so while my heart is healing my body might as well too! I don't really miss smoking. I hate it and I don't need them period. I'm having another box of smarties tonight just because x

Sounds like they were past their 'use by' date to me. Chocolate goes most perculiar when it goes over. I think you should buy some more very soon to make sure it was just a blip.

Karen, you can have the orange ones and Tea can have the brown ones so long as I can have the red ones. Please.

And Malvin- that's truly wicked...:D...I would never do such a thing to our Munchkin....though previous cat had ears which folded inside out a treat (it doesn't work with the Munchkin- his ears aren't bendy enough. However, he did manage to wear a shopping bag for some considerable time yesterday evening. We were laughing too hard to remove it. ;))
