Day 87th... moving on....

Had a couple of minor ones, mostly due to stress @ work, but nothing too serious. Keeping my guard up as usual.

Just feeling kinda down today, a lady I hired into the team, whom I've had the pleasure and honour to work with for the last 4 years, finally decided to move on. Bitter sweet kinda feeling, certainly not a trigger.. :)

Tomorrow, my 16 days vacation starts, Amsterdam, Bruges, London, Paris, hopefully fun, need a break and a breather from all the stress @ work, take stock of this year, 3/4 now, recharge for the last push to close out 2014.

Certainly, one of the biggest challenge this year, is quitting the smokes. It is a bl***dy emotional roller coaster ride, and the ride ain't over. Having come this far (or not very far to be honest), it's actually manageable on most days. I always think about my OH, cycling, delay, or turn on my phone to flick thro some photos when I get the craves, thus far, it has worked.

During these 87 days, someone @ work, whom have started with me, have kinda fallen off the wagon; occasionally smoking only when there's drinks.... it's tough. Another gentleman, seemed to have been inspired, and have decided to give it a go as well.

Chin up, all those who are on this journey, nicotine is simply too addictive to be good. In my book, it is beyond the shadow of a doubt, evil. I hope I can beat it.

Have a great one!

Edge 87 days is huge, you are pushing through and hopefully your fantastic holiday will make the next few weeks easier for you:)

It is indeed a huge roller coaster , but my word nearly 3 months now that's fantastic.

Am sure the highs and lows level out as I guess the longer the quit, the weaker the crave I hope :)

Stay happy and be proud, you are amazing , keep going:)

87 days is well and truly on the way Edged, your doing great keep it up and don't be way laid by people who say they are having a few with a beer, although the idea of that may sound appealing, the reality is it's a slippery slope and one you don't want to be on cos your a lovely fresh smelling healthy non smoker :) if it was so easy to social smoke surely most of us on here would be at it,but it's not we know that really ;) xxx

Edge, you're probably away on your hols by now, but just wanted to wish you a fantastic time away. You really deserve a good break and I am sure you'll have loads of fun and relaxation.

Also, well done on riding out the craves. If ever there was a man heading for the Penthouse it's you :)

All the best to you mate :D

Well done Edged, yes it really is a rollercoaster but I feel that as your quit gets longer, the ups far outweigh the downs. You are doing so well. Sounds like you need a holiday though, enjoy. :):)
