Am feeling a lot better today, my ulcers are shrinking and my other physical quit symptoms *seem* to be dropping, but know I'm not out of the woods yet - and not feeling like hell will give my brain more time to crave  but there's no way I'm going back to smoking!!
Like Max told me before I stopped, just rule out smoking as an option and you're safe!!
Talking of which, being rather, err disorganised, I found a packet in one of my bags (I have too many) with one fag left in it - could nip outside and smoke it now if I wanted but it has no temptation for me at all!!
Actually, am dead proud of this, the thought of that makes me feel a bit ick :cool:
Something in my brain has definitely clicked this time!!
Hope all my 20th-ers are having a good, smoke free weekend

Hope you have a fab walk It's not made up it's mind yet here - will probably rain though
Blimey Gemma, firstly well done, you're head really seems in the right place this time! But how on earth could you afford to smoke? I used to spend about £13 a week and I thought that was too much, but I do spend more on wine now Frightening what that stinky little monster did to us isn't it? xxx

It is frightening!!
Um basically because I live at home so only have 1/3 of the bills and the house is paid for so no rent or mortgage (provided i help out) - but it did leave a real dent in my money  The cost was getting to me since I caved last year, but wasn't sure how I could quit
Lol, spending more on wine is a good thing
Oooh and thanks, am feeling so much more positive this time!! xxx
How do you get that ap you showed, what is it called. Would like it xxxxx
Hiya
The first one is called QuitIt and the second (black screen one) is My Last Cigarette - they're both free on iTunes if you search for quit smoking apps
There are paid versions but they don't add much IMO
It's good to see the pics every day...scary or what? Wonder if we have the same one every day cos that bladder cancer one is OMG!!
Lol, I'm one of those weird people who doesn't mind shelling out for an iphone but hates buying apps
Ooooh yes that's so horrible - it brings it home doesn't it?
Amazing too how it works now, but when I smoked I'd turn the pack over or stick something over it.
Talking of which, my ulcers, gave me a shock (partly 'cos i googled tongue cancer) but it made me realise that this is painful and makes me feel like poo but it would be a holiday compared to the crab.
Any way you got yourself a moving buddy tomorrow Gem.....hope your tidy lol
Feeling loads better as well, the sun is shining and life's looking good.
# feeling pleased with myself.
YAY!!
We'd better have a quick tidy up for the next residents and go pick some nice rooms!!
Gemma so pleased to hear you are on the mend, OH suffers with ulcers so I know how they get him down.
You definitely sound different this time, I think and hope this is your time
Sun is out here, so hopefully will make its way to Cornwall as well, makes you feel so much better to see some sun.
Stay strong and enjoy your Sunday
Netti x
Aww thanks Netti!!
They make you feel so toxic, horrible things!!
Ooh I feel different this time, and I'm loving it - had a slightly stupid reason i didn't mention to quit last time as well as all my good ones but now it's purely for me and 'cos I was fed up with smoking
YAY for sunshine, hope it stays for you - it's getting nicer here too!!
I am loving this new and final Gemma Lou quit, seeing your posts on here each day fills me up with hope and happiness :D
Accept that smoking is NOT happening again and then move on with all the new exciting things to do instead
Proud of you G-L!!! xxx
YAY thanks!!
I've definitely ruled out smoking - could do it if I wanted, even nip out now and have one but the thought of putting a fag in my mouth and inhaling all that poisonous smoke actually makes my tummy curl a bit!!
That part of my life is over - it really feels like I'll never smoke again - unless post it notes count
Oooh one thing I noticed, have said about my air wick in my room - tis lovely by the way, Vanilla treat - well the last time I used it, I was a smoker, then the stuff ran out and didn't get round to buying more refills.
Anyhow, got more last week and put it on and the smell was sooo strong - looked at it and it was on maximum, in a relatively small room.
Didn't notice but my sense of smell must have been really knocked out!!
I noticed the same Gemma all mine were on max and when everyone used to come they said your house always smells lovely and I used to think well I can't smell them like, now however mine are set at 3. It's amazing how things change by it smoking.

Oh isn't it amazing?
Another way we'll save money - that and perfume!!
Odd how we didn't notice how bad our senses had got though
Right, got my bags packed and I've picked out a lovely pink room in the Week 3 bit
Think I've had this one before!!
Well 2 weeks ago i was terrified. My mum had fallen over and banged her head, lots of blood and worry but she's fine thank God, and you know what *really* p***ed me off about that? My brain was screaming for a fag at that point. Know I've said that I didn't like the person smoking made me, well that made me feel like the c**pest daughter ever.:mad::mad:
I *hate* what smoking did to me and feel confident saying I will never smoke another fag again.
