It's start to feel normal, with still occasional craves, although it's few and far in-between now. Vacations, typically bring the craves on, I realized, gotta be careful there.
After lunch, is yet another, although it's not everyday. Perhaps once every two weeks maybe ? ... But it's there.
I caught myself staring at the smokers dragging away after lunch, and for a split moment, was thinking to myself, wouldn't that be nice ?...But I said no, don't smoke anymore, and it slowly goes away again.
Hence, a note to self that at 3 months and 16 days under the belt, let's remain vigilant. Nicotine is an insidous demon, always waiting to get back right in.
Also another general observation, smelling the smokes from other smokers still does NOT irritate me, and sometimes I do feel it smells OK, instead of pungent. I wonder when and if ever this will change.
Let's see.

Hi Edged, well done on over 3 & a half months, that's great. I don't find the smell of smoke repulsive yet either, though it's not so enticing now and I can just ignore it. As you say, we must stay vigilant.
It's good to see you Edge- I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you. You're clearly trucking along in great style.
I'm 10 months in now and it has only been recently- within the past month or so probably- that I've noticed that more often than not fresh smoke smells acrid to me rather than pleasant (as it still did not very long ago). Stale smoke is definitely yuk. As for those 'wouldn't it be nice?' moments- I still have them occasionally but those occasions are definitely becoming less and less frequent (and the moments are very fleeting). If it came for me it will for you too I am sure, but you're quite right to remain vigilant. I don't think I will ever reach the stage where I can afford to relax my guard completely.
Many, many congratulations on your quit. Not far to Halfway House now! Well done you.
Haha, wasn't expecting this many replies, and am touched !
Always good to visit the forum, for some pick-me-ups, and also a reminder to self, that the journey aint over, and there's lots of folks along the same path too.
@Skiddaw, 10 months in, is brilliant, almost 1 year now. I know life would be very very different for me, if I hit 1 year.
@Max/TG, thanks for sticking with me till now..haha
@ all the rest, thx for your replies, keep posting to the forums, and I'll remind myself to keep coming back as well, just to keep my feet firmly on the ground, and butt glued to the wagon.
Hi Edged! Congratulations on your quit & stay focused!! Like you, the smell of smoke doesn't bother me-- I just don't want it on me!! However, the smell of stale smoke on people's hands, clothes, hair, and breath or on possessions like purses or in cars is disgusting to me! Not sure if that will eventually change, but I do know that I am incredibly glad I don't smell like that or have to worry about smelling like that ever again!!
You know, I don't particularly hate that smell, and that worries me sometimes.. but I try not to think or read too much into it... hahahah
