first-time poster in this section. So I decided to quit after 14 years of addiction using Tabex, which works in a similar way to Champix but with less side effects. My biggest challenge will be working without fags, since I work from home.
Anyway, hour and half since I woke up and so far so good. I had my morning coffee without any problems. I will not smoke today!

If you can do the coffee then you're half way there Keep plenty of distractions to hand then should you get a craving keep yourself occupied for a couple of minutes - I used to do jumping jacks for 30 seconds, I used to be so puffed out the only thing I could think of then was getting my breath back Good luck
Yeah, I have plenty distractions in mind once I encounter heavy cravings. Any form of physical training will definitely do me good, since I was never one of those smokers who light-up right after strenuous physical activity. I don't feel like smoking after that!
My advice (for what it is worth) is not to think too far ahead at this stage. Just focus on today and let tomorrow take care of itself. It's surprising how quickly the days (and eventually, weeks) pass.
May the remainder of the day be as easy as it possibly can be.

It's going quite well, actually. That's why I am trying to concentrate on today since people say 2nd and 3rd days tend to be worse For what's it worth, I am handling the first day much, much better than expected.
So far no empty feeling in gut, no major concentration issues nor mood swings. It must be Tabex and my determination. I lifted weights, went roller skating, did pretty good job-wise etc. So far (8 pm), I had a great day actually!
