I'm at the end of day 9, and having early nights ! Must admit I am having bad dreams/nightmares though, is that usual?
Feel tired all the time, I'm sure I could sleep 24 hours at a stretch most days, which is so strange as I'm usually an active person.
One really big thing (to me) is that I woke up ,middle of the night last night and thought "I could do with a cup of tea and one of those cream cakes in the fridge". Before it would be "I could do with a cup of tea and a fag" so that is an improvement isn't it.
I am on here as I have only told 2 friends that I am quitting - and sorry but I need somewhere to talk about it.
You know that I read other threads and think - if they did it so can I !
Stay strong everyone, we can do this. x

Hi Bluebell, you are right when you say you can do this because you can. I did it so that must mean that anyone can do it.
The dreams and tiredness are all normal. Are you taking Champix because they cause strange dreams? If not I am sure that the dreams will settle very quickly your mind is in overdrive at the moment. Just remember that you are doing the very best thing that you could do for your future health and happiness I hope your sleep patterns return to normal very soon
Oh Haze56, you are so far ahead of me - what an achievement, well done you.
I am only using Nicorette lozenges (1.5 mg) a couple of times a day, nothing else.
Sod's Law I decided to cut right down then quit just before doc. sent me for chest xray. Though I have no symptoms been referred for a scan now so an added impetus never to smoke again.
Really appreciate your reply, thanks, it isn't easy is it but I will do it. x
Hi bluebell,
Just wanted to say that I had terrible nights earlier on in my quit too - vivid nightmares and waking up in the night feeling anxious and the not being able to get back to sleep. I have never been a great sleeper but here's the good news....... Day 66 for me and I now have the best nights sleep ever ever ever and have done for the last month or so. It's just wonderful 😴😴!!
So restful nights are just around the corner - hang in there!

Thankyou - weirdly I had a big fat horrible wobble yesterday but i'm still fighting!
Yes Bluebell, it seems some people have insomnia at the start but others (me included) sleep their way through the first month Enjoy it, I suspect the sleepers are the lucky ones
