For me..

So the main reason for me quitting is due to my Dad just being diagnosed with Lung Cancer, a couple of weeks ago. He was a very heavy smoker.

He's finding it real hard to quit, even though he hasn't had any since the diagnosis. So, I guess I am quitting in support of him to a degree, also I'd rather not end up the same way.

I am only 28, so I guess I haven't really been smoking for that long (10 years).

I also remember what I was like before I started smoking. I hated it.. I always used to have a go at my Mom whenever she smoked...

And I guess I just want to be a healthier person..Like I used to be.

I don't want to be the guy anymore that has to get my friends to wait for me in the high street while I roll a fag. I also don't want to get stressed out on a long car journey somewhere because I can't smoke, or claim I need the toilet so I have to stop at services, and have a smoke while I am there. :eek:

Smoking just makes you do stupid stuff like that and I want it to end. I also hate being that guy that stinks of fags every time I go into a meeting, or having to nip outside at a working lunch / meeting to go for a fag whilst conveniently going to the loo as well.

Soo many things.

Every one of those a great reason mate.

Can you think of one, just one GOOD reason to carry on smoking?

?? :rolleyes:

No

That is because it is INSANE to smoke, you might as well just pour a glass of cadmium, nicotine, lead, arsenic, tar etc into your tea every day.Would you allow that? no.

Smoking is risky, smelly, dangerous, antisocial, expensive, etc etc...we know this yet still do it where is the sense in that.:confused:

I know...Crazy right...After reading whats in them, and well just the sheer fact that you're voluntarily inhaling actual smoke..You'd have to be a moron to do it surely? hah.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Sean that's very sad about your dad. He will be so proud of you knowing that you are quitting. As a mum we worry about our kids and that will be one less worry for him.

So do him and you proud and succeed. Besides you have me to nag you every day so you don't have a choice x

Heh thanks. :D
