Day 7 - Almost a Full Week!!

Whoopp Whooopp!!

I'm after a bit of advice for my first big treat.

I've got the manky yellow smokers teeth. Will teeth whitening help? Are the DIY one's any good? Is it expensive? Never done it before so i haven't a clue where to start.

I'm tight fisted as anything so I figure if I spend some money on my smile I'll be more reluctant to spark up again and ruin it, thereby wasting my money.

I'd also like to invest in trying to undo some of the damage I've done to my skin. I'm not into cosmetics so again no idea where to start. I'm assuming moisturizer? Is there one particularly good for repairing the damage smoking causes? Am I kidding myself and the damage is here to stay?

Phaw! I think I need to invest in a new dressing gown too! This one Reeks!

That's brilliant Bridie - well done!

I can't comment on the teeth whitening either but I would wait a bit for that as it will improve over time anyway I think.

Re moisturiser I think it's a question of trial and error to find the right one. Depends how much you want to spend too. My personal favourite is Yves Saint Laurent moisturiser but it's well over £100 so I don't buy that often!!!

Treat yourself because you deserve it!!!!

I looked into this but it's like £400 at my dentist's so decided against it.

Have heard Crest Whitestrips are good though :)

What Kat said!!

My skin improved loads within weeks of smoking my last fag - I look years younger, YAY and that was just with moisturising and a Soap an Glory scrub :)

Think i saw you say you're 3 years older than me(?) so you're going to undo loads of damage!!

Oh heck, isn't it foul?

Thank you so much to everyone for all of your advice, comments and congratulations!

Yawzers! £100 moisturizer ladies! Erm, I've been spending a few quid on ASDA's own and thinking it's an upgrade to the 20 year old avon stuff I found in my Dad's cellar. I was expecting more the £20 mark. Wow, I'm really not into beauty stuff, wow, that's serious money.

Thank's for a guide price on the teeth whitening Gemma, that's definitely more than I can spare in the near future. I've been using whitening toothpaste for ages now, but own brand stuff. I'll give the Crest a try next tome I go shopping.

Thanks to everyone else too for your encouraging comments regarding a notable natural improvement just from giving up the stinky sticks. I'm just getting impatient to see some positive results that I can use to help keep me motivated.
