Just thought i'd post to let everybody know how I'm doing with almost 5 months under my belt!
I think I might of cracked it!
To all those who are just starting with their quit and are struggling. Believe me it definetley will get so much easier the longer you stick with! It is soooooo worth it.
You will eventually go throughout the day without thinking about cigarettes at all. When I do think about it, it is a passing thought and I normally question myself about the last time I thought about cigarettes and realise its been days and thats normally only in the company of someone who is actually smoking in front of me. It's not a crave or an urge anymore, it's just a thought about it.
This is the furthest I have ever come before. I think the longest I went before was either 3 or 4 months.
I have gained a few extra pounds which is what I am concentrating on now. I'm not dieting but just trying to cut out snacking, eat less crap and get more excercise on me bike.
I have already lost a pound or 2 since cutting out the junk.
Hows everyone else doing?

Barny - just reading your post. I like to have a look at other people's posts who are much further into their quit. It gives me inspiration and more determination to stay quit knowing that what a lot of you are saying is that it does get easier - right now it feels like the hardest thing in the world but I'm moving slowly to where you are I hope

Hello Cazbags,
Well done on your quit.

Barney you're a star! Thanks for sharing your experience, for being encouraging and always helping
I definitely want to cut out the junk too, but I'm afraid Xmas isn't the perfect time of the year to do that :p... I also really want to start going to gym and unfortunately I really have no excuses to postpone that
