My reason

I have been diagnosed with pcos and me and my husband have been trying for a baby for over 3 years. I have a child from a previous relationship. I smoked over 20 roll ups a day and I'm on my second day of giving up!!! I'm wondering if anyone knows how smoking effects fertility ? :)

Hello!

Hey, Jemma

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision to stop smoking.

I haven't a clue how smoking affects fertility - I have read that it does and in a major way for both men and women, but I couldn't go into it scientifically.

Good luck with your quit - you are making the right decision. Day 2 is hard, but if you've managed so far you'll be absolutely fine. It really does get easier - I promise!

Stick with it and you will reap the rewards! There is a great thread on here about the benefits that we are all experiencing from quitting. Have a read!

x

Nik

Hi Jemma :)

Am not sure on the specifics, but do know that smoking had a huge bad effect on fertility for women and men so you're definitely doing the right thing quitting - and you'd have to quit when you were pregnant anyway so it's just doing it sooner rather than later!!

It is definitely the best thing you can do for yourself anyway so good luck!!
