Eternally grateful

81 days now since I put out my last cigarette. I've been feeling incredibly grateful for each and every day that I complete without smoking. Sure, there have been many and bad temptations, especially since I weaned off of Champix, but I'm still clean, and more positively so than ever before.

Been having some issues with depression again this week, but I think it's simply that I haven't been taking care of myself like I should have been, this having been my one and only daughter's birthday week... So.....

Am herewith officially pledging to remember HALTT at least twice every day.... When I'm wanting a cigarette, or just feeling bad, I will ask myself whether I am perhaps Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired or Thirsty. Then I will go and take care of whatever I need to take care of to be ok, then reassess the situation.

Really grateful for this forum and all the people on here too. You guys have helped me get this far.

Love

Shanita

suffering with depression is one of the side effects and can affect alot of people in different ways but trying to keep a positive mindset will certainly help and just taking one day at a time

how old is your daughter going to be?

its my youngest grandsons birthday on monday who wilbe 2 he came into this world never knowing me as a smelly nanny and im determined he will never know me as one too :D
