Day 5!

I'm not having cravings as often now but I feel just awful! I'm so tired and I have a headache that will not go away but I get them a lot which is one of the reasons I'm quitting so hopefully they'll ease up soon! I look forward to when the smell of smoke is bad, not good. I just about go into a frenzy inside everytime my husband comes inside after smoking and walks by me. He's doing his best to help me by washing up and brushing his teeth after he smokes to keep me from smelling it. I need this first week to distance myself from the smell while the nicotine is leaving my system. Next week, I'll come out of hiding and learn to deal with real life as a non smoker.. ahh I look forward to it!

  • Nice positivity Ashley, your body's all over the place I guess, it'll take time to heal but your mental attitude does you credit, looking just a little ahead to better days......and they do get better :)

  • Hi ashley, just going into day 4 and I'm in exactly the same boat, headache and I've come home to my housemate who smokes. Im surprised how quickly my reaction towards his smoking has turned, ie I keep thinking why are you still smoking? Anyway my day 4 thread is similar. We've got through the hellish 3 days though!! See you for week two very soon!

  • Well done Ashley, stay strong, we promise it gets better.
