I'm almost 17 hours into day 1. I have just decided to quit CT. So far, I'm amazed how smoothly it's going. I don't feel too bad. I'm thinking about smoking, but I think that's just because I know I'm stopping.
What can I expect in the hours and days to come? Be gentle

Hi and welcome. Everyone is different, but if you read the posts on days 1 2 3 4 etc you will get some idea. There is nothing to fear and only to be gained. You are bound to be thinking about smoking in the early days but that will soon be a thing of the past. Good luck with your quit and read lots of stuff on here there are some brilliant posts offering very good advice.
What I do seem to notice is I have the odd panic moment. Like - "there's just absolutely no way I can do this, i'm gonna fail", but then it seems to pass and I'm ok.
Didn't smoke all my life, then my wife of 10 years left me, and for some reason I almost started as a way of punishing and abusing myself. Dunno really.
Now I'm stuck trying to sort this stupid mess out one day at a time!
Just go with it. what you feel is normal. Generally the first three days are the worst getting the nicotine out of your system. The woozy spaced out feeling is oxygen getting to your brain, it will soon ease off. just let it flow xx
