Hola Everybody!!

It's been 2 days & 17 hours since my last smoke. Going cold turkey & up until now, everything has been OK, a few cravings I have been able to control but the last hour has been like torchure. I really want to stop for good & reading these forums is very encouraging; I am now finding it very difficult to concentrate & do my work. Starting to feel depressed & generally unhappy. Just hope I can hold out until it's time to go home, hate feeling like this, normally happy.

what your feeling is only temporary, it will pass , one day you will find your concentration is sharper than it ever was whilst smoking and as for quitting for good , just keep it one day at a time and keep ticking them off and always remind yourself why you have stopped. the best is yet to come and the freedom is awesome.

Welcome to the forum. As Mash says these feelings are temporary. The first three days are the worst I found. Keep it going and you will soon be feeling free, and living in a smokefree paradise!:)

Something that REALLY helps me is regular, strong (strongest you can find) chewing gum.

Sounds obvious but I have found it incredibly helpful...I just start chewing it, and take massive, deep breaths...In through the nose type stuff.

It's often suggested by non-smokers as a kind of off the cuff option, but as i said, it is really helping me!

GOOD LUCK - STAY STRONG :D
