Quitting as of now

I've never wanted or tried to quit (or probably never had the balls to), but having stumbled on this forum a couple of days ago, i thought 'why the heck not?'. I just did a month without drinking and hopefully that will give me some confidence looking forward. Good luck to any and everyone else quitting today, Friday 22 June 2012.

Best,

Piki

Good decision. I was the same as you. I had never seriously thought of quitting and then wham. Here I am. Only 11 days so far but it's a lot easier than I thought it would be. Helps to see the money pile up too :-)

Welcome and well done on deciding to quit :)

Keep your mind and hands busy when you feel a crave coming on and it will soon pass

Posting and reading the links on here will do both plus you will get as much support as you need

Onwards and upwards is the way to go :)

Great decision:D I had never thought or attempted to quit before I tried last September and here I am 9 months later with £850 in my 'no smoking' jar:D I don't think it's about how many times you try I think it is down to when you are ready to do it and if you are ready then you WILL do it. Good luck!!!
