Sorry I haven't been on here much. The truth is, I don't really think about smoking much anymore, and I can't say that I have any cravings now. I stopped using my NRT a while ago, and I just carry on with my life without the fags. Hence I've not posted much -- just been plodding along.
I'm pleased to say that my counselling has been going well and, even though I still have my challenges, I'm coping much better.
I've started eating a lot better -- plenty of fruit and veg -- and I'm stating to exercise more. I'll be joining a gym very shortly along with my OH.
Nothing much more to say really -- sorry to be boring!
I did have a thought a little earlier: shortly before I quit, I remembered thinking to myself that since I started smoking, I never went one single day EVER without smoking. NOT ONE SINGLE DAY -- I WAS THAT ADDICTED! Or so I thought. . . but now, I don't smoke ANYMORE. It put a smile on my face.
P.S. Here's me stats:
I have been quit for 1 Month, 3 Weeks, 4 Days, 21 hours, 32 minutes and 58 seconds (56 days). I have saved £819.32 by not smoking 2,275 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Weeks, 3 Days, 9 hours and 5 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 16/12/2011 00:00

"Chain-Smoker (Retired)" - so your pension is £14 a day, £98 a week, £400 a month, not bad.

hello again legs forgot to mention and dont know if anyone else has found this but the times i get really bad cravings its more a case of i cant be bothered to go and buy a pack and all that goes with it i mean its just too much of a hassle if i do think gee i really need a smoke weird i thought but its just like when i used to smoke it was always ahh yes i will quit tommorow but never seem to get around to it whereas now its just reversed its more hassle to go buy a pack than just stay quit and then i say to myself
self.... if im going to be a slave to something i would rather be a slave to not smoking than a slave to smoking and by the time im over with all that the cravings normally gone
my 2 cents worth lol
cheers

Well done all of you in all stages of the quit...........I just had to put down somewhere and wasn't sure where to put it that Gra's comment about not being bothered to go and buy the fags when the cravings are really bad....myself and the OH........have always had tobacco(3x50g) and 20 Marlborough lights sitting in the house since the quit new years day!!!
To me it was reverse psychology.............if the need was that great it was there and I didn't have to panic about it...........to my husband it was a belief that he would not be able to manage the quit and he wouldn't have to be asking around for anymore duty free's!!!
So on day 44 or to be more precise]I have been quit for 1 Month, 1 Week, 5 Days, 14 hours, 6 minutes and 21 seconds (43 days). I have saved £283.31 by not smoking 871 cigarettes. I have saved 3 Days and 35 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 01/01/2012 03:00
I have just remembered that these are still in the house.............how weird is that then!!!
Let me know what you all think, was I mad doing it that way?
