Hello everyone, new here, quit yesterday and doing pretty well. Its the first time I've ever tried to give up but determined not to give in. I don't want to live my life as a smoker and always be skint and always have a bad chest.
Using the support at my doctors, got patches and gum to be getting along with. Felt fine yesterday and today although once or twice a day I am feeling the cravings. When will these get easier? I am not as bad as I thought I would be but still, it is not easy.
Downloaded allen carrs easy way to stop smoking for woman on my kindle, so gonna get through that and pick it up every time I'm having a bad moment.

Hi Rochelle, nice to hear your doing good, im on day 7 today, good knows how ive got here, its been hard work.
I too read Allen Carr's book prior to me stopping, i had my last cigarette last sunday, and because of the book i felt like i was ready to stop. Its a very good read isnt it, with a totally different angle to stopping. Unlike yourself i for some strange reason decieded to cold turkey it. Ive had one or two wobbles but this place has helped me, and by the sounds of it helping you too.

Keep up the good work. we can beat it together.
Well I started on patches before I started reading the book, so done it topsy turvey, but its still worked as it hasn't been hard for me, I actually feel guilty when I'm reading peoples posts about how they're struggling, when I'm not. It isn't a struggle, I'm actually enjoying life more, without the dreaded 'itch' which he talks about lol I'm not having craves, I'm not having grumpy moods, I'm just plodding on with life with a bit more excitement than usual lol pleased you're doing well, that first week was the hardest, if I can call it hard, because I couldn't get much sleep. But now I can!! So I'm ecstatic lol
