Made it, barely. Month 3 was brutal. Just passed it and now into month 4. Crap, hope it gets easier.

Dude

Month 3 was also hectic for me, good news is that a day or two into month 4 it was like someone flicked a switch and since then I have not craved ONCE or though of smoking.

Well done you through the dreaded month 3 LOL now all that is left is year3 :)

Is month 3 that bad? I could imagine why week 3 would be, but month 3... sounds like ancient history.

Way to go Teleguy, I'm 5 days behind you baby!!!!!!

Month 3 has dragged by and yes concerning the quit it has been a bit pants sometimes.

Robinson...I think month 3 is bad as the cravings get more subtle, coniving and don't right sneaky. For me, it's kind of like a mental torture and you still have to carry on with that testing and stressful thing called life as well, how bloody inconvenient. Supporters for your quit start waning too as people think you're ok and that you've quit. We still need support lol especially when something happens and you feel like someones pissed on your chips.

Anyways....on the VERY positive upside note, you have done month 3. I betcha never thought you'd get there but look matey you have. So proud....and it sounds like it gets easier in month 4....here's to us buddy, extracting more life from life :)

love lisa xx

Robinson, for me, month 3 was hard because...

1. There are no more powerful, in-your-face benefits to remind you how good it is to quit (no more cough, whiter teeth, smell good, etc). It's just a daily task to not smoke.

2. Weight gain. Despite being a smoker, I was an athlete. I put on 15 pounds that I'm having trouble shaking. I'm not vain, but, man, the weight gain sucks. Hence, you think about smoking again.

3. Memories. For some reason, that stupid cigarette for me held good (although false) memories. Like Dave, I craved one during an event like skiing. Kept bugging me.

I think I'm through the woods, but it's still there. I'm not turning back, no way, but it's a battle.

Good luck.
