Well i have just had a cortisone injection in my shoulder today and the dr asked if i smoked No ive been quit 38 days. Well done she said. Oh the joy of being asked. Feeling a tad better today not as niggly as yesterday. But you know i have to have a lozenger first thing in the morning and then im ok. Anyway hope you are all doing well in your quit. I was most miffed when the nurse didn't ask me if I smoked

All she was bothered about was the weight I had put on, I then eagerly offered up that I had quit smoking........her reply ??

"Well it's not an excuse to eat what you like"

lmao....I'm a nurse and 'the nurse' said I should have known better.......think you'll find my reply was along the lines of...'when I did my training we were encouraged to be compassionate and caring....what happened in your training'!?

You are right though, some compassion would be nice, and a little pat on the back for being a good girl would have made my day but no, I have a Mary Poppins type nurse, practically perfect in every way, I bet her medicine spoon is mahoosive :eek:
