Day 38 tmw. And finally the cravings are minimal.

Well guys what can I say. Day 38 tmw of my quit. Cold turkey. What can I say but its been tough but I think I can say that I can see and feel the light.

God its been a struggle. It still is but no where near as bad as the first week. Where I was pounding the streets kicking lamp post in an attempt to best the monster inside me. He's still there. Not fully beaten yet. But I think I'm winning him. It wont be long before he gives up and eventually dies.

We have to be focused. Very focus from the very first day of our quits. Really really mean it and be so strong. Because the mind is a very deveous creature when hooked on drugs. You think your in control, oh how very wrong we are. The drug is controlling us. We just have to learn that our lives will be massively better/improved/cleaner/healthier than it was before we became a martyr to the dreaded curse.

I know its easy for me to say because I'm in to my second month, but for you just starting out. Its a long road but the rewards are fast approaching. It wont belong before your body starts saying thank you to you for not filling it with poison.

Remember folks try and enjoy your quit. The benefits are vast.

Well done mate for making it this far. Its day 44 for me today and I totally understand what your saying . I went ct from the start and it was hard but i'm starting to see the benefits now. I do mountain biking up on the downs where I live and I really do fill better. I'm not struggling trying to get air in my lungs like I use to. Keep up the Quit mate your doing GREAT.

Great post Si! :)

It's beginning to have been worth all the stress and anguish at the start isn't it.

January 2013 will be special month :D

Good post. Thank you:)

I keep trying to read what others have written and those further along in their quit. I find it inspiring. I'm also beginning to accept that it is a drug and as such I'll have to be aware every day for the rest of my life. But it's worth it!!!

Good luck

Well done Si on day 38, and the fact that you went Cold Turkey I know deep down I could not do CT, but I do have the occasional Loz as my security, but enjoy an Xtra strong mint.
